So sorry about this delay in posting guys. I have just started college, and things have been busy but wonderful. Also, I have been a bit short on ideas for my next post. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see next from this blog, leave your ideas down in the comments section. Today I wanted to talk about a little bit of my experiences regarding my first couple weeks of college that are somewhat music related.

For me, when I was still living at home, I played music 24/7, and I sang most of the time as well. Now living in an apartment with three other girls, I have learned to be a bit more respectful in terms of when I play music and the volume level. Because of my living situation, I have not sang as much. Singing is one of the biggest parts of my life, and it has really hit me hard these past couple of weeks not doing it. Finally though, one day last week all of my roommates were out, and I had the freedom to do as I pleased. I was worried since I hadn't sang in weeks. Did I magically become tone deaf? Could I still hit certain notes? My fears were silly because singing came back to me as easily as breathing. It was wonderful to be able to let loose and do what I love.

I guess on this blog post all I really wanted to say is just do what you love. No matter what. That's why I keep up this blog that two people read, because I love music and writing. Music to me holds such a special place in my heart, and it is so universal and timeless. So go out and do you! And if you have the same problem as me with having new people that you share a living space with, don't be ashamed. If you love singing, sing. If you love to dance, dance. If you love to yodel, well you go ahead and yodel! (but do it at a respectable time) Don't let anyone judge you for your passions.
