So making a post two days in a row was difficult. Sorry. But here as promised is the album review of Sam Smith's debut album, In the Lonely Hour.

1. Money on my Mind- This was Sam's first single. It is a song that sounds like it could be played at the club, and it has a very unique sound that the rest of the album does not have. It is super catchy, and if slower music isn't your thing, then this song is it.

2. Good Thing- Recently in an interview Sam Smith said this was the most personal song that he has ever written, and you can tell. The song is very honest and relatable. It also has an incredible intro that gives the song a jubilant tone.

3. Stay With Me- Stay With Me is the second single of the album. It has become one of Sam's biggest hits because the song is so emotional and understandable. This song is far-reaching, and the gospel choir part in the chorus (which is actually Sam's voice layered multiple times) is breathtaking.

4. Leave Your Lover- Leave Your Lover is a song that could make anyone cry. Unrequited love has always been a topic that is common place, and the song portrays that feeling in an astonishing way. You can feel the emotion bleed through the song.

5. I'm Not the Only One- This is a mid-tempo song that is again about love that isn't perfect. The vocals on this song are phenomenal, and it is one of my favorites on the album.

6. I've Told You Know- This song is also one of my favorites. It has a really cool, unique vibe to it, and the chorus is definitely one of my favorite parts of the song.

7.Like I Can- Like I Can is a song that lists people who cannot love your lover like you can. It is a cuter, faster song that shows the amazing range that Sam Smith has. This song is one you can even dance a bit too.

8. Life Support- The message of this song is powerful and impactful. This song is more slowed down, but it is still a fantastic song. The lyrics though are what make this song so great.

9. Not in That Way- This is the saddest song on the album. No one can fight me on this. It takes true talent to make someone cry and reevaluate their whole lives in 2 minutes and 52 seconds, but Sam Smith does it brilliantly.

10. Lay Me Down- This is one of the first recorded songs that Sam Smith has ever done. It is a song that has stood the test of time, and it is amazing whether it is the original version or the acoustic. The song is based off of tragedy, but the story is told in an intricately exquisite way.

11. Restart-   This song is definitely rightly named. It is the first track on the deluxe edition of the album, and it is a restart for the tempo is higher, and the lyrics are more upbeat. All around it is a fun song.

12. Latch- This song is originally by Disclosure, but Sam does an acoustic version on the deluxe edition of the album. It gives the song a different tone, but at the same time, it shows that the song can be used in many different ways and still be charming.

13. La La La- This song was done by Naughty Boy and Sam Smith gives the vocals. It is a very catchy song though, and this song can definitely be played at a dance or party. It is upbeat and fun.

14. Make It to Me- This is a calm, soothing way to end the album. Unlike the previous songs on the album, this song is one of hope and promise. It has a great message, and it has wonderful lyrics.

And that's it. If there is one album that I can recommend this year, it's this one. I don't know if I have ever been so impressed by a new artist. Sam Smith is an amazing songwriter with a wide range, and if you haven't taken a listen yet, do it.
