Hi guys! So Thursday night my best friend and I went to go see Demi Lovato. The concert was really great, and I figured I would talk about each act.

1. Fifth Harmony- So Demi had two opening acts, and one of them was Fifth Harmony. Now I'm not going to lie, I didn't know much about them. I knew they had come off the X-Factor, and that Simon Cowell created them, but I only knew about 1 and 1/2 of their songs. I thought they did suberb, for what I believe to be their first time on a legitimate tour. Their vocals were great, and my friend and I were rocking out to some of the beats in their songs. I do believe they could have interacted with the crowd a bit more, but that all comes with time and experience. Their choreography was great though, even if some of their music wasn't for me.

2. Little Mix- Now if you can't tell from my previous blog posts then I'll tell you that I am a HUGE Little Mix fan, so this assessment might be completely biased. I thought they did wonderful though. Their vocals were so good that I got shivers, and they started their set with Salute which gave their whole performance such a "kick butt, girl's run the world" feel. Their choreography was so in-sync, and their back-up dancers could really dance (and were super attractive). My friend didn't really listen to Little Mix, but after they performed, she couldn't stop saying how impressed she was. There was one point in the middle of their set list where Little Mix started singing "How Ya Doing?" acapella, and I almost fell out of my seat. I always forgot how talented these girls are, and if you haven't seen a video of them doing acoustic numbers, then go to google right now. The only critique I have is that their stage decor could have been better, for they only had a banner in the back that said Little Mix, but Cher Lloyd is taking their place on Demi's tour soon, and they are doing their own European tour, so I figured they wouldn't want to spend a great deal of money on this tour. All in all though, they were perfect. I cried.

3. Demi Lovato- Now to the main act. Just to forewarn you guys, I don't even know if I saw this concert because I was crying the majority of the time. She started off her set list with "Heart Attack", and I almost had one. On Twitter over the previous days, Demi kept complaining that she was sick, so I went into the concert with the mindset that her vocals would not be good. Boy was I wrong. "Heart Attack" is a difficult song to sing. It is definitely a song that you have to belt out, and there's really no way around it. She sang it almost flawlessly. I remember turning to my friend, and just saying, "She sings better sick than I do healthy." The rest of the concert went in that same fashion. Her vocals were astounding and even more so because she was sick. She also sang a lot of old songs that had me reminiscing over my middle school days. At one point in the concert, she had a talk with us. She talked about mental illness, eating disorders, and bullying. Throughout the talk, I just kept thinking how brave she was to talk about things that are usually "taboo". It was definitely one of the more memorable moments of the show. The last song before the encore was "Neon Lights", and she told everyone to get this app that would make their flashlights turn on and off with the beat of the song. It was such a cool thing to witness (even though my phone wouldn't work). The encore was emotional because she sang "Skyscraper", but then she ended it with "Give Your Heart a Break". It was such an amazing concert and experience. The whole tour had a sense of female empowerment, and every act had phenomenal vocals. I wish I could go back.
